Job description

Discover the opportunity at Dartmouth, NS, for an Administrative Assistant 3 (OA13) position within the School of Business and Creative Industries. This full-time, continuing role begins around June 9, 2025, with an application deadline of May 20, 2025. The salary range is $44,683.28 to $49,695.30 annually.

What you'll do
  • Provide confidential, daily administrative support to the Academic Chair, supporting a busy department with 9 programs, approximately 25 faculty and staff, and over 400 students.
  • Coordinate office functions, including meetings, scheduling, record keeping, event planning, and liaising with internal and external communities.
  • Assist faculty with departmental operations and perform related duties as needed.
What you'll need
  • Post-secondary certificate/diploma in Business or Office Administration, or significant administrative experience (10+ years).
  • At least three years of recent experience in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Experience managing office functions, ordering supplies, invoice reconciliation, calendar management, and data handling in Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of the post-secondary application process and familiarity with Microsoft Office, Office 365, and databases; experience with PeopleSoft is an asset.
  • Comfort with digital environments and a commitment to technology use in work processes.
  • Experience supporting students and prospective students is a plus.
