ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill and Experience) -Registered Nurse (RN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario -Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or equivalent required - Master's Degree preferred - Experience providing direct patient care in an acute care setting -Current Basic Life Support (BLS) -Certificate and/or demonstrated experience in Adult Learning principles, critical thinking skills preferred - Member of the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO) preferred -Excellent attendance
ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES (Personal Skills and Attributes) -Demonstrated strong, positive leadership skills in the nursing profession -Excellent organization, verbal and written communications skills -Excellent knowledge of clinical best practices that support optimal patient outcomes. -Knowledge and application of adult learning and learning theories -Knowledge and experience in facilitation, change management, conflict resolution, and project management. -Ability to determine feasibility of potential research, educational or clinical initiatives. -Strong computer skills utilizing MS Office Suite products (Word, Excel, Power Point), MS Outlook and audiovisual equipment. -Ability to identify potential for patient or institutional risk and intervene appropriately through follow up and investigation of incident reports. -Knowledge of current and future trends in health care along with the ability to use judgment and knowledge application for program development, planning, and control. -Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and prioritize work in a continuously changing environment. -Demonstrated ability to role model through the interest in the development of self and others. -Demonstrated ability to support and embrace the philosophy of Service Excellence and Patient and Family Centred Care. -Demonstrated participation in building a culture of safety and partnering with each other to improve the safety of patient care processes and systems. -Demonstrated performance reflecting the Mission, Vision, Values and Code of Conduct of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.
