We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Program Coordinator to join our Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Care Clinic (DVSACC) team. This key role involves coordinating services for individuals affected by sexual assault, intimate partner, and gender-based violence, utilizing a trauma-informed approach. The Program Coordinator supports best practices in patient care, ensures continuity of services, and acts as a liaison among hospital departments, police services, victim services, and other external stakeholders.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement care pathways, practices, and policies aligned with best standards for intimate partner violence and sexual assault care.
  • Coordinate a multidisciplinary team to deliver timely, patient-centered, trauma-informed care.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external partners, including police, legal, and community services.
  • Provide education, orientation, and performance feedback to staff; conduct chart audits.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on gender-based violence both within the organization and externally.
  • Triage service requests and support patient care navigation in both emergent and non-emergent cases.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related health discipline required
  • Master’s Degree in a health-related or social service field preferred
  • Member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
  • Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) certification preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years of clinical or program coordination experience in trauma-informed care, emergency, or gender-based violence services.
  • Demonstrated expertise in trauma-informed care models
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build consensus and influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong critical thinking, judgment, and decision-making abilities
  • Comfortable managing confidential and emotionally sensitive cases
  • Organizational and leadership skills to coordinate team functions
