Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Location: Lakeridge Health Ajax-Pickering & Oshawa
Wage Schedule: $40.360 - $56.300 per hour

Duties And Responsibilities
Working within a multi-disciplinary team, the Occupational Therapist is responsible for patient assessment and the development of treatment plans, with emphasis on optimizing return to function. Actively participating in team conferences and regular team meetings. Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario;
- MSc. in Occupational Therapy or equivalent;
- Certified in the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA);
- Previous Experience working with Inpatients with orthopaedic, medical disorders is preferred;
- Effective verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team;
- Ability to exercise initiative and observe strict confidentiality;
- Membership in CAOT, OSOT;
- Previous experience in an inpatient rehabilitation care setting is preferred;
- ADP authorization for Mobility/seating/wheelchair and splinting experience is preferred;

- Must have satisfactory performance record;
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff, patient and environmental safety and participation in regular in-service in this area.
Conditions Of Employment
The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Hospital and OPSEU Local 348.
Successful External applicants must provide a satisfactory Criminal Investigation Reference for the vulnerable sector, dated within the past six (6) months.
