Position: Registered Respiratory Therapist

Status: Regular Full Time

Department: Respiratory Services - Oshawa

Program: Respiratory Services

Schedule: 12 Hour Shifts, DDNN Schedule (Subject to Change)

Locations: Lakeridge Health Oshawa & Ajax-Pickering

Wage Range: $38.350 - $53.280 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Providing respiratory care and documenting all aspects of care.
  • Performing diagnostic testing and maintaining equipment.
  • Participating in quality assurance activities and continuing education.
  • Maintaining competence and professionalism as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Diploma in Respiratory Therapy.
  • Current registration with the College of Respiratory Therapy of Ontario.
  • Current B.C.L.S., Ontario Heart Foundation Standards.
  • Motivated individual with ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Problem-solving, teaching, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous clinical experience and advanced educational preparation are assets.
  • PALS and ACLS preferred.
  • Must have a satisfactory performance record.
  • Commitment to core values: Inclusion, Compassion, Innovation, Teamwork, Joy.
  • Understanding of safety programs and practices, including participation in in-service training.
Conditions of Employment

Employment terms are in accordance with the Collective Agreement with OPSEU Local 348.
