Job Title: Radiology Technologist

Status: Casual Part Time

Department: General X-Ray - Oshawa

Program: Diagnostic Imaging Services

8 Hour Shifts, days, nights, weekends, evenings, on-call Schedule (Subject to Change)

Location: Lakeridge Health Oshawa & Ajax-Pickering

Wage Schedule: $36.840 - $50.240 per hour

This position is open to all qualified OPSEU staff throughout Lakeridge Health from 29 April 2025 to 6 May 2025.

Duties And Responsibilities

The Technologist is responsible for producing radiographs and computed tomography images, storing images, recording them, assisting Radiologists, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. They must maintain technical competence per CMRITO guidelines and participate in training and other related duties.

Qualifications
  • Successful completion of a recognized Medical Radiation Sciences program;
  • Must have CMRITO license;
  • Knowledge of radiographic, fluoroscopic, CT examinations, pathology, and record keeping;
  • Ability to operate X-Ray, CT, Fluoroscopy, and ancillary equipment;
  • Effective communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to prioritize requests for prompt patient care;
  • Ability to work shifts on short notice, take standby call, and be on site within 30 minutes;
  • CAMRT membership preferred;
  • Satisfactory performance record;

  • Understanding of safety programs and participation in in-services.
