Job description

School District No. 20 (Kootenay-Columbia) is seeking a Temporary Intermediate Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year at Rossland Summit School. This full-time position offers a salary range of $60,337 to $111,450, based on experience and qualifications. The assignment is from September 1, 2025, to December 19, 2025, with possible extension.

Qualifications:

• BC Certification
• Bachelor of Education in Elementary
• Previous successful experience teaching at the intermediate level (preferred)
• Knowledge of the renewed curriculum, learning outcomes, and resources
• Ability to use a variety of instructional and assessment strategies
• Ability to integrate appropriate technologies
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills
