A leading agency in child protection services is seeking a Protection Support Worker for a full-time position in Cochrane and Iroquois Falls. The role involves providing essential preventative and protective interventions for children in care. Candidates should hold a diploma in Human Services and possess strong communication and organizational skills. Bilingualism and a valid driver's license are beneficial for this role.
PROTECTION SUPPORT WORKER
Full-time Position in Cochrane and/or Iroquois Falls
(with travel between Cochrane and Iroquois Falls offices as required)
As a member of the Investigation, Assessment and Ongoing team, the Protection Support Worker will provide preventative and protective intervention services to individuals, children and families. Services will be provided to and on behalf of children who are in the care of the Agency’s child protection services and approved placements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS (QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS):
• A College Diploma in Human Services is required
• Must be willing and able to work flexible hours
• Must be willing to travel as required
• Ability to interpret and apply legislative requirements
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
• Must have a valid Class G driver’s licence and use of own vehicle
