ServiceNow Systems Administrator
A ServiceNow Systems Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining an organization's ServiceNow platform to ensure smooth operation, performance, and reliability.
Core Technical Responsibilities
- Platform Administration: Maintain the health, performance, and integrity of the ServiceNow platform.
- User and Role Management: Manage user accounts, roles, and access controls.
- Incident, Problem, and Change Management: Support ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Release Management.
- CMDB Management: Maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and ensure data accuracy using Discovery tools.
- Customization and Configuration: Create and manage workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and custom applications.
- Integration Support: Assist with integrations between ServiceNow and other systems using APIs and web services. Support ATF framework.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with a solid understanding of CMDB.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Performance Analytics.
- Familiarity with ITSM, HRSD, SAM, HAM, ITOM, ITAM, SPM modules; exposure to multiple modules.
- Knowledge of relational databases and data structures.
- Understanding of ITIL processes; ITIL certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of roles, ACLs, and user permissions in ServiceNow.
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and third-party integrations.
