Job Overview
Requirements Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement
Engage with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, and validate business, functional, and system requirements for IT projects supporting business lines.
Collaborate with stakeholders across nuclear operations, engineering, supply chain, ePMO, renewable generation, regulatory compliance, and IT to elicit, document, and validate business requirements and prioritize requests/user stories/demands.
Conduct interviews, workshops, and document analysis to gather functional and non-functional requirements.
Translate complex operational needs into clear technical requirements for development, configuration, or procurement.
Support change management activities including communication plans, training material development, and stakeholder onboarding for new IT systems.
IT Project Lifecycle Support
Collaborate with Project Managers, Solution Architects, Developers, and Vendors to support successful delivery of IT solutions within scope, schedule, and budget.
Create and maintain key project artifacts such as business requirements documents (BRD), wireframes, process maps, user stories, test plans, and change requests.
Support QA and UAT processes, including test case development, test execution, and defect management.
Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and feasibility studies to support IT project initiation.
Contribute to solution design, systems analysis, and vendor selection activities.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), traceability matrices, and end-user training.
Ensure project deliverables meet regulatory, cybersecurity, and data integrity standards.
Continuous Improvement & Risk Mitigation
Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within nuclear or enterprise systems.
Collaborate with Risk Management and Cybersecurity teams to assess potential risks and mitigation strategies for new systems.
Participate in change control processes and configuration management activities.
Technical Development & Solutioning
Contribute to solution design and development activities by building lightweight tools, scripts, reports, and dashboards (e.g., using SQL, PowerShell, Python, or Excel VBA) will be an asset.
Support integration development through data mapping, transformation logic, and API specification documentation would be an asset.
Configure or prototype low-code/no-code applications using platforms would be an asset.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, Engineering, Machine Learning or related field.
Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) would be preferred.
Agile Certifications would be preferred (e.g. CSM, CPO, etc.).
Experience:
10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a complex enterprise, corporate, and public sector environment.
Experience with Enterprise Applications and Middleware will be an asset.
Programming and Development Experience (Groovy, Java, JavaScript, etc.) would be an asset.
Prior experience supporting IT systems in the energy, utilities, or highly regulated industry would be preferred.
Experience with working as a Business Analyst or Product Owner for various different IT project methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
Technical Skills:
Proficient in business process modeling (e.g., BPMN), requirements management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps), and UML.
Understanding of enterprise systems such as ERP, document management, cybersecurity platforms, or SCADA/DCS interfaces.
Comfortable working with data mapping, workflows, APIs, and integration projects.
Familiar with ITIL processes, change control, and system lifecycle methodologies.
Soft Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
