Position : Community Living Worker - Casual

Location : Ladner

Hours : Casual hours as needed (including day, afternoon, and overnight shifts)

Salary : $25.95 / hour

Start Date : July 1, 2025

We are seeking a passionate, engaging, and empathetic Community Living Worker to join our SOURCES Community Living Services team. The role involves supporting individuals with autism and/or intellectual disabilities, fostering independence, well-being, and social participation.

SOURCES is a community-based non-profit organization providing support across the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island, and Northern BC. We focus on creating resilient communities through leadership, education, and volunteerism, supporting people facing mental health, disability, poverty, substance use, and conflict challenges. Position Description

Support clients referred by Community Living British Columbia, with a focus on autism and intellectual disabilities. Responsibilities include building relationships, coaching, guiding, supporting, and working collaboratively within the team. Maintain documentation, review progress, and ensure a safe environment following positive behavior support strategies, including familiarity with Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.

  • Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 50%
  • Walking/Moving Around: 75%
  • Sitting: 25%
  • Time Outdoors: 50%
  • Bending/Crouching: 25%

Qualifications include empathy, initiative, physical ability for community activities, knowledge of mental health and disabilities, valid BC driver’s license (Class 4 or 5), and a clear Criminal Record Check.

Additional Requirements

  • Union membership is required.
