Job description

PROTECTION SUPPORT WORKER

Full-time Position in Timmins

As a member of the Child-Care/Resource Team, the Protection Support Worker will provide preventative and protective services to individuals, children, and families. Services will be provided to and on behalf of children who are in the care of the Agency’s child protection services and approved placements. The Protection Support Worker will also assist in supporting youth within the Transition Home Programs, including providing respite and working shifts (evenings, weekends, and nights) as required.

Job Requirements (qualifications And Skills)
  • A College Diploma in Human Services is required.
  • Must be willing and able to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to interpret and apply legislative requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and use of own vehicle.
