Job summary

Orion Innovation is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to architect and lead the next-generation microfrontend platform for our enterprise web ecosystem in Verdun, Quebec. You will enable autonomous domain teams to build and ship experiences while preserving a unified feel and platform resilience.

You will lead architecture decisions, define standards for shell coordination, sharing libraries, and runtime integrations, and mentor fellow frontend engineers.

Senior Frontend Engineer Microfrontends to help architect and lead the next-generation microfrontend platform for our enterprise web ecosystem. You’ll collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to enable teams across the organization to independently build and ship customer experiences while preserving a unified feel and platform resilience.

What you’ll do

• Lead the architecture and evolution of our microfrontend platform, enabling domain-based feature teams to deliver independently.
• Define standards for shell/app coordination, shared libraries, routing, and runtime integrations.
• Design and implement mechanisms for shared state management, version control, and safe rollout of microfrontends.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other senior frontend engineers.
• Collaborate with Platform teams to ensure seamless CI/CD pipelines and observability.
• Work with stakeholders across Product, Design, and Content to ensure a consistent user experience.
• Represent frontend technical leadership across cross-functional projects.

Who you are

• 8+ years of experience building modern frontend applications at scale.
• Deep expertise with frameworks like React (Next.js, Remix), and microfrontend tooling.
• Strong understanding of performance, security, accessibility, and responsive design.
• Experience working in distributed monorepo or federated repo setups.
• Comfortable navigating trade-offs between centralized control and team autonomy.
• Strong communicator who can influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with tools like Turborepo.
• Experience integrating backend-for-frontend (BFF) layers, GraphQL APIs, or edge functions.
• Previous contributions to platform-level SDKs or component frameworks.
