Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution with a focus on Math in Computer Science (Quantum Information), or MScAC in Quantum Computing or equivalent.
  • Strong communication, time management and analytical thinking are essential.
  • Self-driven, creative and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Python and MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

  • Participating in experiments and theory development towards proof of concepts of financial applications of quantum technology.
  • Developing algorithms, protocols, sensors, or networking techniques depending on your skill sets.
  • Researching and determining successful applications for quantum technologies for finance.
  • Benchmarking performance and documenting research and outcomes.
  • Collaboration with external vendors and university partners on research.

What will you do?
  • Participating in experiments and theory development towards proof of concepts of financial applications of quantum technology
  • Developing either algorithms, protocols, sensors, or networking techniques depending on your skill sets
  • Researching and determining successful applications for quantum technologies for finance
  • Benchmarking performance and documenting research and outcomes
  • Collaboration with external vendors and university partners on research
  • Supporting the broader Innovation team as needed
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
  • Currently enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution with a focus on Math in Computer Science (Quantum Information), or MScAC in Quantum Computing or equivalent
  • Excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong MS Office skills – Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of programming and scripting languages - Python

Nice-to-have
  • Understanding of IT Standards, Methodologies (SDLC, PMF)
