MKS Instruments is offering an undergraduate intern/co‑op position in its OSP division, from January 2026 to April 2026. You will work under the supervision of a Principal Optical Engineer, contributing to experiments, test equipment development, and data analysis in a hands-on lab setting.
The role targets students pursuing Engineering, Mechatronics, or Physics, with strong analytical skills and programming ability in Python, LabVIEW, or MATLAB.

MKS Instruments is seeking an exceptional Engineering/Development Co-op intern to join the team. In this position, you will play a key role in supporting the development of new technologies and products. The intern will report to a supervisor within the Engineering group and will complete tasks as outlined below during their tenure. This position offers an outstanding opportunity for growth and development through hands‑on exposure to a wide range of technical activities, including one or more of the following
Intern/Co-op Term: This is a 4-month internship/co‑op from January 2026 to April 2026. Candidates must be available for the entire duration of the assignment.
Salary Pay Range: $32,000 - 52,000 pro-rated to the term of your contract. This range is a reasonable expectation of pay for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience, education, training, operational and business needs and other considerations. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
