Imperial in Canada is seeking a Sr. Tailings Engineer to shape sustainable mining and water management. You will develop and maintain tailings deposition plans, align with production schedules, geotechnical requirements, and regulatory frameworks, collaborating across Mine Planning, Geotechnical, Operations and Closure teams.
Relocation to Calgary/Edmonton with relocation support; 8+ years’ tailings experience; P.Eng. or eligible with APEGA; oil sands tailings experience preferred.

Working closely with Mine Planning, Geotechnical, Operations, and Closure teams, the Sr. Tailings Engineer evaluates scenarios, prepares detailed deposition schematics, and provides technical guidance to ensure operational execution matches planning intent.
