Weeneebayko Area Health Authority (WAHA) is seeking a Student Pathways & Academic Partnerships Coordinator to bridge secondary and post-secondary education in the WAHA Queens Health Professions Development Program. The Weeneebayko Area Health Authority (WAHA) is seeking an experienced leader to fill the key role of Student Pathways & Academic Partnerships Coordinator.

Who You Are

• Knowledge of Ontario secondary school graduation requirements.
• Knowledge of post-secondary admissions processes
• Understanding of Indigenous education approaches and culturally responsive learning.
• Awareness of Indigenous histories, cultures, languages, and ways of knowing

What You Bring

• Undergraduate degree in education preferred
• Experience supporting Indigenous learners and communities
• Experience working with secondary schools and/or post-secondary institutions
• Ontario Class G Driver’s License required
• Ability to travel regularly throughout the Weeneebayko region required
• 7-10 years’ experience in education, student services, Indigenous education, academic advising, career development, health professions education, or a related field
• Ability to communicate in the local native Cree language is an asset
