Job Description
What will you do
UX Design
- Shape the user experience from the earliest stages ensuring the product will meet and exceed customer expectations
- Assist and potentially lead the ideation and user experience design of complex web and mobile solutions
- Create design assets including user journey maps, wireframes, process flows, interaction designs, and interactive prototypes
- Consult with business stakeholders, technology, and users in decision-making surrounding user flows, sitemaps, layout, styling, and technical feasibility
- Present wireframe mockups and proof of concepts to stakeholders to ensure their needs and expectations are met and to sell the vision behind user experiences
UX Research
- Partner with product teams to represent the users' voice in product development
- Conduct Research: Support in conducting user research, including observation, note-taking, and synthesis
- Research Analysis: Synthesize research insights into summaries, presentations, and journey maps
- Participant & Panel Management: recruit and schedule users for research studies; support management of participant panels
- Knowledge Management: collaborate on strategies to collect, store, and share insights
- Tools: collaborate on tools strategy to enable process efficiency and quality research & feedback for research and cross-functional teams
What do you need to succeed
- Creative and analytical design thinker who is self-driven and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail
- Motivated to maintain and contribute to UX standards
- Skills in digital tools (Mural, research tools, proficiency in Figma)
- Currently enrolled at a Canadian postsecondary institution focusing on Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Research, Social Sciences, Humanities, or related disciplines
Nice to have
- Financial industry knowledge or experience, specifically Wealth Management
- Experience with note-taking and facilitating usability tests
- Experience organizing and facilitating Human-Centered Design workshops

- Be returning to school after the work term end date; or
- If not returning (graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term to graduate successfully
