Overview

Reporting to the Manager, Guest Services, you will work within the Guest Services department supervising approximately 125 volunteers at the CNE. Volunteers staff entry gates and provide event information to guests, while also supporting other departments during the event.

Responsibilities

  1. Determine staffing requirements for the 18-day volunteer program
  2. Prepare recruiting materials
  3. Coordinate scheduling and conduct volunteer interviews
  4. Promote the program at job fairs and community events
  5. Prepare acceptance packages for volunteers
  6. Coordinate ordering of volunteer uniforms
  7. Prepare and deliver training materials
  8. Maintain volunteer schedules
  9. Provide leadership, assistance, and coaching to volunteers
  10. Ensure CNE policies and safety procedures are followed
  11. Coordinate volunteers' thank you BBQ
  12. Distribute volunteer certificates
  13. Complete volunteer evaluations
  14. Perform other duties as assigned

  • May be required to wear a uniform
