Job Description

Are you a graduate keen to start a career in Financial Services? If so, you’re in the right place! We are recruiting for our Graduate Program starting in September 2025, based in Halifax. This program offers the opportunity to work across various business areas on a rotational basis, gaining broad experience and understanding of our operations. You will learn from top professionals and be mentored by senior leaders throughout the two-year program. Additionally, after 18 months, there is an opportunity for an international secondment at one of our global offices.

Your Responsibilities

During the program, you will work in different departments and undertake various tasks, including:

Client Delivery
  • Ensure timely and accurate NAV calculation weekly and monthly
  • Assist in preparing audited Financial Statements and annual audits
  • Respond promptly to client queries
  • Prepare reports for regulatory authorities
BPO: Business Process Outsourcing
  • Perform daily reconciliations of cash and positions
  • Support trading operations from post-execution to settlement
  • Resolve trade disputes with brokers, custodians, and investment managers
  • Coordinate with banks and brokers to ensure smooth service and communication of corporate actions
Investor Delivery
  • Maintain investor database and generate statements and contract notes
  • Process capital transactions, dividends, calls, and distributions
  • Manage client service queries
Investment Data & Valuations
  • Set up and monitor automated processes like trade capture and pricing
  • Maintain reference data for investment products
  • Handle inquiries regarding financial instruments and valuations
Portfolio Operations
  • Ensure accurate trade processing and corporate actions
  • Oversee reconciliation technology to identify exceptions
  • Investigate and resolve breaks with brokers and investment managers
Qualifications
  • A strong educational background
  • Candidates close to completing an undergraduate or master’s degree in a numerical, business, or related discipline
