Please note:This posting is for a 4-month Fall 2025 STUDENT placement with a start date of September 2025 and end-date of December 2025. In order to be eligible for this 4-month Student position, you must either:

• Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of December 2025; or
• If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in August 2025/December 2025), but you require the work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.

As a software developer intern, you will work with a team on complex computer science solutions, develop scalable software systems and collaborate on a specific project assigned to you. What will you do?

This internship is intended for students enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s program in Computer Science or a related field. This program includes three main components: a software project, skills-based training, and professional development.

This summer trainee program includes:

• Software Project: A defined project with clear outcomes that you will work on with a team of RBC’ers. The project will be defined together with your mentor at the beginning of the internship.
• Skills-Based Training: Enhance your coding skills, and gain exposure to tools and programming languages.
• Professional Development: Improve your presentation skills by presenting your work and outcomes at the end of the internship to senior team leaders.
• Mentorship: Be matched with an RBC Mentor Engineer, other than your manager, to guide you through your summer experience.
• Fun: Engage in social activities, community building and networking. Build relationships with your peers.
• Exposure: Gain a unique glimpse into applying your Computer Science studies in a professional environment.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s program, majoring or intending to major in Computer Science or Electrical and Computer Engineering.
• Experience in Computer Science.
• Experience with data structures, algorithms, and software design.

Nice to have

• Programming experience in either Java, Python, C, or C++.
