2025 Fair Washroom Facility Attendants & Grounds Clean-Up

Part-time; Seasonal

Fair Washroom Facility Attendant: $19.97/hour (PG 74) plus 5% in lieu of benefits and vacation – Must be 19 years of age or older by August 1, 2025.

Fair Grounds Clean-Up: $18.01/hour (PG 63) plus 5% in lieu of benefits and vacation – Must be 15 years of age or older by August 1, 2025.

Fair Grounds Clean-Up - Night: $19.41/hour (PG 73) plus 5% in lieu of benefits and vacation–Must be 19 years of age or older by August 1, 2025.

What will you do this year?

In your role as a Fair Washroom Facility Attendant or Grounds Clean-Up, your primary accountabilities will be to:

  • Ensure that assigned areas & washrooms of the Fair site are maintained in a clean and debris-free manner at all times.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the Fair site by conducting cleaning duties that include, but are not limited to, emptying waste disposal bins, sweeping walkways, picking up litter, and sanitizing food consumption areas.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to promptly address any cleanliness issues and uphold the Fair’s standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Provide exceptional and friendly guest service.
  • Ensure the PNE Uniform and Appearance policy is adhered to at all times.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What else?

  • Completing cleaning duties that include, but are not limited to, emptying waste disposal bins, weeping walkways, picking up litter, and sanitizing food consumption areas is required.
  • Previous janitorial experience is an asset.
  • The ability to be proactive and take initiative is required.
  • The ability to work independently under minimum supervision is required.
  • Strong communication skills are required.
  • The ability to provide courteous and professional guest service is required.
  • The ability to follow detailed directions from supervisors and management is required.
  • Previous guest/customer service experience is an asset.
  • Sufficient strength, stamina, and coordination to permit the performance of assigned tasks, which includes walking and standing for the duration of shifts is required.

When will you work?

  • Dates:
    • The PNE Fair runs from August 16th – September 1st.
    • Training and orientation will take place throughout the first 2 weeks of August depending on your department’s operational needs.
  • Hours:
    • The PNE Fair is open from 11AM – 11PM – with a variety of shifts available.
  • Availability Requirements:
    • Must be available for up to full-time hours (40 hours per week) including evenings, weekends, and late nights from August 16th – September 1st.
