Job Summary
Our team requires an intelligent and imaginative student to assist with the daily profit and loss reporting, product valuation and risk monitoring activities performed by the Commodities Product Control team. You will play an integral role in such things as streamlining current processes, creating presentations, and documenting PnL reporting procedures; all of which would help maintain operational effectiveness; assist in system implementation and process re- engineering projects.Job Description
What will you do?
Conduct profit and loss analysis and financial reporting
Act as the primary point of contact for all front office queries and issues and monitor, track, and complete tasks in a timely fashion
Inform senior management of any irregularities that may present potential exposure to the firm
Develop an understanding of RBC operations and the functions of various business units across the firm
Identify opportunities to improve valuation and risk reports and pro-actively streamline processes to improve productivity
Assist on project implementations
Must have
Good problem solving skills
Good communication skills
Knowledge on Financial Instruments, valuations and markets
Experience in using Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Nice to have
Advanced Excel and VBA skills
Ability to query databases using SQL
Prior experience using Tableau, Datameer, Power BI analytical tools
Basic knowledge of Accounting

Be returning back to school after the work term end-date; or
If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully
