This role requires onsite presence at the Demonware Vancouver office following the team's hybrid schedule (3 days a week). A relocation package may be offered depending on eligibility.

Demonware, part of the Activision family, collaborates with engineers and creatives at AAA partner studios to deliver online and data services for major franchises like Call of Duty and Crash Bandicoot. Demonware manages millions of concurrent users, utilizing technologies like Python, Linux, MySQL, C++, and Erlang. Our Co-op students significantly impact our projects.

The Role

1. Facilitate weekly agile rituals for engineering teams
2. Provide weekly project activity reports to Central Tech executives
3. Maintain up-to-date project information in Jira and other tools
4. Monitor Slack channels for customer requests
5. Facilitate conversations between customers and engineers, and among engineers
6. Contribute to improving project management practices
7. Track dependencies across projects
8. Assist with workload and capacity planning
9. Support escalation processes
10. Assist with resolving support requests when possible
11. Manage project management duties for smaller projects

Requirements

• Enrolled in a post-secondary program or up to 1 year post-grad
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Effective communication skills in English and good organizational skills
• Passion for data and analytical thinking
• Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn
• Ability to work independently and in teams

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Jira and project management tools
• Knowledge of agile and traditional development methodologies
