Job Description

This role will be required to be onsite at the Demonware Vancouver office following the team's work schedule (hybrid, 3 days a week). A relocation package may be offered depending on eligibility.

Demonware is a member of the Activision family of studios. We work alongside engineers and creatives at our AAA partner studios and deliver the online and data services required by our franchises. We craft, develop, and host services for some of the world’s biggest video game franchises, including Call of Duty and Crash Bandicoot.

The Role

1. Facilitate weekly agile rituals for engineering teams
2. Provide weekly updates on data teams' project activities to Central Tech executives
3. Maintain up-to-date information on project activities in Jira and other project management tools
4. Monitor Slack channels for customer requests
5. Facilitate conversations between customers and engineers as required
6. Facilitate engineer-to-engineer conversations as required
7. Participate in improving project management practices within Demonware
8. Track dependencies across all Demonware projects
9. Assist in workload vs. capacity planning
10. Support escalation processes from stakeholders when needed
11. Provide hands-on assistance with resolving support requests when possible
12. Manage project management duties for smaller projects

Requirements

1. Currently enrolled in a post-secondary education program or up to 1 year post-graduation
2. Strong attention to detail
3. Excellent collaboration skills across multiple teams
4. Excellent communication skills in English and strong organizational skills
5. Passion for data and analytical thinking
6. Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn
7. Ability to work autonomously and in a team

Nice-to-haves

1. Experience with project management tools like Jira
2. Knowledge of agile and traditional software development methodologies
3. Experience with SQL
4. Knowledge of Big Data technologies like Spark
5. Experience with Cloud Computing (AWS, GCP, Azure)
