What you’ll be doing

  • Support camp leadership: Assist the Camp Director in planning, organizing, and overseeing all camp operations and programs.
  • Supervise staff and volunteers: Help recruit, train, and manage camp counsellors and support staff to ensure a high-quality camper experience.
  • Ensure camper safety and welfare: Monitor daily activities, enforce safety protocols, and respond to emergencies or incidents promptly.
  • Coordinate program delivery: Oversee the implementation of recreational, educational, and social activities, ensuring they meet camper needs and camp goals.
  • Manage administrative tasks: Assist with scheduling, record-keeping, budgeting, and communication with parents and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate staff development: Provide ongoing support, coaching, and performance feedback to camp personnel.
  • Assist with conflict resolution: Help address camper or staff issues effectively and maintain a positive camp environment.
  • Step in during Camp Director absence: Take on leadership responsibilities as needed to maintain smooth camp operations.
