2025-022 Executive Assistant (Deputy Grand Chief)

POSITION: Executive Assistant (Deputy Grand Chief)

DEPARTMENT: Political

COMPETITION#: 2025-022

LOCATION: Timmins/Moose Factory

TERM: Full-Time

CLOSING DATE: May 12, 2025 @ 4:00 PM

POSITION SUMMARY

The Executive Assistant will report to the Deputy Grand Chief and will provide administrative support to facilitate and expedite the political and administrative operations of the Mushkegowuk Council and the Council of Chiefs. The Executive Assistant will also maintain confidential records, assist, and perform other related duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Post-Secondary Diploma in Office Administration and/or a minimum of four (4) years in an administrative or office setting
  • Working knowledge of recording and transcribing minutes
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Connect, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience working within an Education, Political, or First Nation environment (asset)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work flexible hours and under minimum supervision
  • Willingness to travel
  • Ability to communicate in Cree (asset)
  • Valid "G" driver's license (asset)
  • Copy of certificates/diplomas to be submitted with resume
