About the facility: The Licensed Group Home provides guidance, support, and supervision for individuals with cognitive, mental, and physical disabilities requiring 24/7 care.

About the position: Working 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule, Personal Care Workers support and supervise individuals with physical disabilities, plan and organize daily activities using a team approach, prepare and serve meals, and administer prescribed medications.

Responsibilities:

• Support and supervise individuals with physical disabilities;
• Plan, organize, and supervise daily activities, recreational, and other services;
• Prepare and serve meals as planned;
• Assess residents' needs on an ongoing basis;
• Maintain sanitation of the Group Home;
• Work 12-hour shifts with a rotating schedule;
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Grade 12 education;
• Personal Care Worker, Continuing Care Aide, or Home Health Aide certification or equivalent preferred;
• Certified First Aid & CPR and Safe Food Handling certification required or willingness to obtain;
• Previous experience in home care or childcare is preferred;
• Experience working with First Nations communities is an asset;
• Valid driver’s license is preferred.

Combination of education and experience may be considered; on-the-job training will be provided.
