Surepoint Group in Duncan, BC is looking for 1st–3rd year Electrical Apprentices to join a local team. You’ll work Monday–Friday with overtime opportunities, a safety-first culture, and a path to grow with an employee-owned company.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician Certification or Indentured Apprentice status.
• Standard First Aid, H2S Alive, OSSA Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, CSO, CSTS.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstract.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a busy environment.
• Experience in Oil and Gas construction or maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and adhere to policies including daily safety analysis and mitigation.
• Cutting, threading, bending, and assembling rigid, aluminum and conduit systems.
• Install and maintain EMT and PVC piping systems, batteries, solar panels, voltage regulators, MCC equipment, heat trace, and VFDs.
• Interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications.
• Understand and execute basic circuit fundamentals and three-phase systems.
• Test electrical equipment and components for current, voltage and OHMS.

What You'll Be Doing

• Maintain a continual focus on safety and adhere to all company environmental, health, and safety policies, including daily safety analysis and mitigation.
• Complete cutting, threading, bending, and assembling rigid, aluminum and conduit systems.
• Install and maintain EMT and PVC piping systems, batteries, solar panels, voltage regulators, MCC equipment, heat trace, and VFD’s.
• Interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to better help execute electrical installation and troubleshooting.
• Understand and execute basic circuit fundamentals, alternating current circuit properties, heating and cooling systems, magnetic control and switching circuits, three phase systems, transformers, machines, control and switching/PLC, fire alarm systems, red seal programs, industry network, and applications of electronics.
• Test electrical equipment and components for current, voltage and OHMS.

What You Need to Succeed

• Journeyman Electrician Certification or Indentured Apprentice
• Standard First Aid, H2S Alive, OSSA Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, CSO, and CSTS.
• A respectful attitude with a strong focus on customer service and exceptional communication skills.
• A valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstract and the ability to maintain work schedule.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a busy environment.
• Previous experience in the Oil and Gas industry in construction or maintenance is considered an asset.
