Position Overview:

The Children’s Wellness Worker is responsible for providing the protection of children in care by performing duties as may be required, in accordance with the Child and Family Services Act, Ministry Regulations and Standards, Abuse Protocols, and Dilico Anishinabek Family Care policies and procedures. The Children’s Services Worker ensures that all service needs of children in care of the agency are met.

Duties:

The Children’s Wellness Worker is responsible for providing protection to children in care, performing duties as required, in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies. The role involves ensuring all service needs of children are met.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum two-year Human Services Diploma is required; a three-year BSW is preferred.
  • At least two years of experience with Anishinabek children, youth, individuals, and families; preferably in Child Welfare.
  • A satisfactory Criminal Records Search and Vulnerable Sector Search.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, travel regularly, and be on-call.
  • Valid Class “G” Driver’s License and access to a reliable, personal vehicle.
  • $1,000,000 liability vehicle insurance.
  • Candidates without specific educational qualifications but with relevant experience and other academic qualifications will also be considered.
