Position Overview:

Under the direction of the supervising Director/Assistant Director of Dilico Anishinabek Family Care (the Agency), the Manager of Cultural Services will develop and manage Cultural Services for the Agency which support the development of traditional practices that promote Anishinabek culture, values, traditions and teachings within the Agency.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A minimum Bachelor of Social Sciences/Indigenous Learning, Diploma in Indigenous related studies and a combination of training and life experience in the culture, ceremonies, values, customs and traditions.
  • Experience in cultural coordination and group facilitation, an asset.
  • Experience in cross cultural training and/or resource development, an asset.
  • Management experience an asset.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Records Search with Vulnerable sector.
  • Required to work flexible hours as determined by the respective Director/Assistant Director in relation to service requirements.
  • Must possess a Class “G” Driver’s License and have access to a personal vehicle which will pass a safety inspection.

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
