Join us at Dilico! The Dilico Integrated Model of Care brings together a wide range of services and programs to support children, youth, and families to live their good life - physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. We offer services rooted in culture that address diverse issues related to child welfare, mental health & addictions, and primary health. Our Student Placement program welcomes students from various university and college programs to gain valuable experience and skills with us.
The Health & Safety Student is responsible for managing employee claims related to workplace injuries, health-related absences, and disabilities. This includes administering work-related claims with WSIB, overseeing return-to-work programs, coordinating accommodations, and managing Short-Term Disability (STD) and Long-Term Disability (LTD) claims with Manulife.
The Health & Safety Student ensures compliance with Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) policies, Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLITSD) regulations, and Manulife’s disability plan guidelines. This role involves close collaboration with employees, medical professionals, insurance providers, and managers to promote a safe, supportive, and legally compliant work environment.
