Position Overview:

Under the direction of the Early Years Program Manager, the Integrated Services Team Worker (ITSW) provides a family centered psycho-social approach to consultation and intervention services for children 0 to 18 years of age who are “at risk”. In collaboration with Dilico Child Welfare and Health Integrated Services Team staff the ITSW will provide immediate Children’s Mental Health screening, assessment and treatment recommendations for children and their caregivers. ISTW will assist in the implementation of integrated service delivery from the point of consultation to access of required Mental Health and Addictions services for all assigned infants/children and families receiving services.

Qualifications

  • An Early Childhood Education, Social Services or Child and Youth Worker Diploma is required. A HBSW is preferred
  • Three or more years’ experience working within a Children’s Mental Health program
  • Three or more years providing Children’s Mental Health consultation, screening, assessment and intervention
  • Extensive experience in providing Children’s Mental Services for the 0-6 population
  • Must be willing and able to work flexible hours as determined by the Manager
  • Must be certified in CPR and Standard First Aid
  • Must be able to travel regularly, have a valid Class “G” Ontario Driver’s Licence and have access to a personal vehicle
  • A Criminal Records Check including a Vulnerable Sector Search
