Job summary

Maarut is seeking a Senior Data Analytical Specialist/Scientist to lead analytics initiatives in Toronto. The role focuses on end-to-end data models, robust statistical methods, and machine learning to deliver actionable business insights.

You will collaborate with data architects, ETL developers, and business stakeholders to translate analytics into proactive insights that guide decision making. Strong technical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in coding and data manipulation, alongside SQL for querying and managing large relational databases.
• Ability to source, clean, transform, and structure messy or unstructured datasets from multiple channels.
• +5 years experience with cloud environments (Azure, AWS)
• +5 years experience with big data frameworks
• Experience training, testing, and deploying predictive algorithms, classification models, and deep learning frameworks (such as TensorFlow or PyTorch).
• Experience with custom Web API development, ASP.NET, .Net Core, Entity Framework, Azure SQL, DevOps, CI/CD Pipelines etc.
• Proficiency in all cloud service models: SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS
• Experience with Agile methodologies including using kanban/task boards

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of analytic solutions to support evidence-based decision-making.
• Work with client groups to assess current analytics and reporting capabilities and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Own execution of analytics initiatives including end-to-end reporting and data delivery.

• Leadthe development and delivery of functional and ministry-specific analyticsto support evidence-based decision-making and produce actionable insights
