Responsibilities and prerequisites
Job Description

Are you looking for a job that allows you to gain experience in autism within a reputable organization? Are you interested in a flexible schedule based on your availability and a competitive salary? New respite at home positions are available in areas near Candiac, Saint-Hyacinthe, and Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. The respite at home is offered through the Access Respite service of Autisme Montérégie.

Tasks
  • Provide respite to parents by caring for autistic individuals
  • Ensure safety
  • Engage in playful activities and entertainment
  • Accompany the autistic individual during outings
Requirements
  • Studies and/or experience in autism
  • Availability on some evenings and/or weekends
  • Background check (at no cost)
  • Committed, respectful, and autonomous person
  • Willing to work within a 25 km radius; mileage reimbursed from the 15th km

  • Access to training, support, and exchange meetings
  • Mentoring opportunities with others providing respite at home
Working conditions
  • Start date: as soon as possible
