  • Must be a current member in good standings with CMRITO.
  • Current registration with the CMRITO in the specialty of MRI and a minimum of one year MRI experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Member of the CAMRT / OAMRS preferred.
  • Experience with Siemens MRI systems an asset.
  • Current BCLS Heartsaver certificate preferred.
  • Successful completion of a certified Contrast Injection Course.
  • Proven knowledge of MRI safety to act as a resource to other staff highlighting the importance of patient and staff safety.
  • Ability to exercise good judgement and application of technical factors when assessing patient capabilities and limitations.
  • Ensures professionalism in the provision of timely, accurate and precise Diagnostic Imaging procedures and quality patient care while ensuring all abnormal and urgent cases are handled in an expedited process.
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and aid in implementing solutions.
  • Positive advocate for professional body of MRI and the Imaging Department.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.
  • Ability to operate relevant equipment and software for imaging, non-imaging and patient care applications.
  • Ability to perform Diagnostic Imaging procedures to professional standards and following the College Standards of Practice.
  • Knowledge of septic and aseptic techniques and infection control practices.
  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Ability to work independently and be an integral part of the Diagnostic Imaging team.
  • Demonstration of strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Utilizes effective listening skills to maximize understanding of issues.
  • Communicates effectively using timely, appropriate written, verbal and non-verbal means.
  • Demonstrates commitment to professional development and learning.
  • Proven attendance and punctuality record.
