1.0 Temporary Psychoeducational Consultant - All Regions
Effective Immediately to June 26, 2025
Reporting to the Principal of Special Education, this position will provide services to students in All Regions of the NNDSB.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in School Psychology or equivalent, including graduate level supervised training in psychometric assessment
- 3 years’ experience with psychometric assessments
Skills/Knowledge Required
- Demonstrated experience undertaking psycho-educational assessments of referred students, under the clinical supervision of a psychologist, utilizing appropriate testing instruments
- Demonstrated experience consulting and collaboration with school teams, including pre-referral meetings, participating in case conferences and providing professional development
- Demonstrated knowledge in interpreting data obtained through the assessment process and presenting the results in detailed reports that focus on cognitive processing (e.g. attention, executive functions, memory, etc.) and academic strengths, weaknesses and needs of the individual student as well as outlining general recommendations for educational intervention
- Demonstrated experience in orally sharing the results of assessments with both caregivers/parents and educators
- Ability to assist in the development of intervention plans and programs for students in collaboration with educational personnel
- Ability to maintain an appropriate record keeping system and submit reports on a regular basis
- Excellent time management, organizational and oral communication skills
Additional Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle
Annual Salary: $61.28 per hour inclusive of vacation and statutory holiday pay
As a condition of employment, a current Criminal Reference with Vulnerable Sector Check acceptable is required.
