Job summary

Near North District School Board's MacTier Public School is hiring a 1.0 temporary custodian to support daily facilities services.

Responsibilities include grounds maintenance, waste removal, cleaning, dust control, and floor refinishing, plus stocking custodial supplies. Hours are 6:30 am–9:30 am and 2:00 pm–7:30 pm. Rate of pay is $26.47 to $27.57 per hour. All applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Qualifications

• Secondary School Graduation Diploma.
• Previous experience in building and grounds maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties and responsibilities on a day-to-day basis, as assigned, to ensure a clean, safe and healthy environment.
• Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: grounds maintenance, waste removal, dust control, glass and mirror cleaning, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, stripping and refinishing of floors, replenishing and maintaining an inventory of custodial supplies, sterilizing and sanitizing fixtures and surfaces
• Other related duties as may be assigned by the Facilities Services Supervisor, Lead Custodian, Principal, and/or Designate.
