Job summary

Near North District School Board in Mattawa is seeking a 0.5 temporary Custodian/Maintenance for Mattawa District Public School to maintain a clean, safe and healthy learning environment. The role requires a Secondary School Graduation Diploma and previous building and grounds maintenance experience.

Work hours are 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at a pay rate of 26.47 CAD per hour; open to casuals and external applicants; must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Qualifications

• Secondary School Graduation Diploma.
• Experience in building and grounds maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day custodial duties to ensure a clean, safe and healthy environment.
• Duties include grounds maintenance, waste removal, dust control, glass and mirror cleaning, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, stripping and refinishing of floors, replenishing and maintaining custodial supplies, sterilizing and sanitizing fixtures and surfaces.
• Other related duties as assigned by the Facilities Services Supervisor, Lead Custodian, Principal, or Designate.

Responsibilities:

• Perform duties and responsibilities on a day-to-day basis, as assigned, to ensure a clean,safe and healthy environment.
• Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:grounds maintenance,waste removal, dust control, glass and mirror cleaning, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, stripping and refinishing of floors, replenishing and maintaining an inventory of custodial supplies, sterilizing and sanitizing fixtures and surfaces.
• Other related duties as may be assigned by the Facilities Services Supervisor, Lead Custodian, Principal, and/or Designate.

Hours of Work: 3:00 pmto 7:00 pm

Rate of Pay:$26.47 per hour
