Location: Prince of Wales Public School

Start Date: immediately

End Date: June 27, 2025

Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board (HPEDSB) serves approximately 15,400 students daily at 39 in-person schools, including elementary, K-12, and secondary institutions. The district covers a geographic area of 7,220 square kilometers, bordered by Maynooth, Deseronto, Prince Edward County, and Quinte West. The region offers a blend of outdoor activities, small cities, villages, rural landscapes, and access to major cities like Toronto and Ottawa.

Requirements
  1. In Good Standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
  2. OCT primary divisional qualifications

HPEDSB encourages applicants proficient in French to apply, even if they do not hold an OCT certificate. Non-certified applicants must submit a resume, cover letter, and endorsement letter confirming French proficiency. All non-certified applicants must also confirm their eligibility to teach on a Letter of Permission, meeting criteria such as being 18+, having an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, and providing a satisfactory criminal background check.
