Job summary

Superior-Greenstone District School Board is seeking an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to support the Kindergarten program. The successful candidate will plan developmentally appropriate activities for 4- and 5-year-olds, observe progress, and work with the Kindergarten Program Teacher to foster a healthy learning environment.

Requirements include a two-year ECE diploma, CECE registration in good standing, minimum two years of experience, and current First Aid/CPR certification; kindergarten

• Observe, monitor and assess children's development in collaboration with the Kindergarten Program Teacher.
• Promote and maintain a healthy physical, emotional and social learning environment with the Kindergarten Teacher.

Responsibilities

In collaboration with the Kindergarten Program Teacher, the Early Childhood Educator (ECE) will plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that reflect the understanding of the continuum of development for 4 and 5 year olds, for the Kindergarten Program. Together with the Kindergarten Teacher, the ECE will observe, monitor and assess the development of the children. The successful candidate, along with the Kindergarten Teacher, will promote and maintain a healthy physical, emotional and social learning environment.
