Job Description

Atelier d'usinage Côté & Audet inc. (AUCA) specializes in machining and welding for over 35 years. We serve clients in hydroelectricity, steelworks, pulp and paper, and energy sectors. Our clients include multinational companies such as GE, Voith Hydro, Andritz Hydro, Arcelor Mittal, Finkl Steel, Rio Tinto, ABB, Valmet, and Toshiba. The machinist participates in all production stages of a part, working on a Toshiba 110R16 horizontal boring machine.

Tasks

• Read and interpret plans
• Perform programming
• Assemble and calibrate tools
• Carry out machining steps
• Inspect parts and fill inspection reports

Requirements

• Diploma in conventional machining techniques with CNC control certification or DEC in mechanical engineering or relevant experience
• Strong ability to read complex plans
• Experience machining large parts
• Proficiency with measuring instruments
• Knowledge of programming software and G-codes (using FeatureCam)
• Ability to set up machines
• Skill in mounting and calibrating tools
• Conscientious and meticulous person
