About the Role:

The Healing and Wellness Branch Systems Administrator would support the Healing and Wellness Management team in various administrative duties, with a primary focus in computer application and document management. They would plan and organize programs and activities in support of Branch activities, training and events. The Systems Administrator would support internal navigation and completion of processes and procedures and monitor ongoing vendor documentation.

This position supports the Branch Management Team with operational processes required for effectiveness and efficiency. Creates and uses basic Excel spreadsheets to manage/report data, coordinates meetings and logistics, manages information flow between Programs, coordinates travel, and other duties as assigned. This role would work to support, lead and maintain specified program application and processing procedures. The Systems Administrator position follows prescribed processes that involve more complex clerical or administration responsibilities as well as supporting Citizen access to specified programs and supports through the Virtual Care Program.

What you will be doing:

  • Respond to internal and external information requests (phone calls, e-mails, etc.)
  • Process applications, documentation and track relevant data through established processes
  • Coordinate meetings, events, and training sessions to build knowledge and awareness
  • Create supporting materials that promote knowledge and awareness
  • Manage data that is financial and/or budget-related
  • Manage a variety of information required to support effective/efficient Branch Operations
  • Maintain a high-level of confidentiality
  • Other reasonable duties as may be assigned

Qualifications:

  • Strong desire to act in the service of the Métis Citizens, to advance and uphold rights and culture
  • Completion of post-secondary education in Social Work, Office Administration or a similar program, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • High degree of technology literacy and proficiency in standard office equipment
  • High proficiency in Microsoft office programs and Adobe Acrobat
  • Advanced communications skills
  • Superior organization skills and time/priority-management
  • Ability to work alone/independently with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated experience dealing with confidential information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of indigenous (preferably Métis) culture, issues, and current activities
  • Previous experience in a similar/comparable role
  • Experience working in coordinating and delivering community-based programs or projects
