Job summary

Niagara Health is seeking a Registered Technologist (RPT) at the Welland site to provide high-quality radiology services. The role involves patient assessment, exam completion, and image evaluation across multiple imaging modalities, with travel between sites as needed.

Successful candidates will have MRT(R) registration, two years radiology experience, and a commitment to continuing education. This is a 0.6 FTE, regular part-time position requiring availability for all shifts, including nights

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Radiation Technology Program in Radiology.
• Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario in Radiology M.R.T(R).
• Two years radiology experience in the past five years in a similar hospital setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the production and assessment of diagnostic radiographs.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development.
• Willingness to train and provide coverage in CT or General Radiography; experience in both modalities is an asset.
• Must be available for all shifts, on-call, and paid holidays.

POSITION OBJECTIVE

Working to promote Imaging excellence, quality patient/client-centred care and high professional standards, the Registered Technologist (MRT (R) will be responsible for the patient assessment, exam completion, documentation and evaluation of images. The objective of the Registered Technologist is to provide safe and competent exams through the application of imaging knowledge, the technical aspects of professional practice and the demonstration of compassion, professionalism and respect. This positions home site is the site listed above. Travel between sites is required. Consideration available for new graduates.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Integrates reflection, critical thinking, education and relevant practical experience in problem solving
• Working knowledge of Hospital and Diagnostic Imaging Information and Imaging Systems and other related computer systems
• Must be available for all shifts, vacation replacement, sick, paid holidays and call backs
