A Tata Consultancy Services está recrutando um Administrador de Banco de Dados Sybase ASE para atuar na unidade de Campina Grande do Sul, Paraná. O profissional ficará responsável pela administração, tuning, replicação e estratégias de alta disponibilidade.

É desejável experiência com ambientes Linux (RHEL), Shell scripting e integração com plataformas de armazenamento. Oportunidade de trabalhar em projetos de grande escala e com equipes globais, com benefícios da empresa.

Qualificações

• Experiência com administração do SAP ASE em ambientes de produção de grande escala.
• Conhecimento em replicação com Sybase Replication Server e replicação heterogênea.
• Experiência com HA/DR, planejamento de RTO/RPO e validação de contingência.
• Perfis de tuning de workloads, planos de memória/IO e particionamento.
• Suporte a ambientes de desenvolvimento, QA, UAT e produção.

Responsabilidades

• Coordenar com equipes de aplicação, servidor e rede durante panes e mudanças.
• Participar de suporte 24x7 e rotação de on-call para sistemas de produção críticos.
• Realizar análise de causa raiz e procedimentos operacionais padrão (SOPs).
• Automatizar tarefas DBA com scripts shell e ferramentas de monitoramento.
• Manter configurações de SO, controlos de acesso (RBAC) e conformidade SOX.

We are looking for a Sybase ASE Database Administrator who wants to learn and transform his career.

Requirements:

Sybase ASE Administration

• Administration of SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) in large-scale production environments
• Installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management
• Management of database devices, segments, logs, storage structures, users, roles, and permissions
• ASE architecture, transaction management, locking mechanisms, memory management, and capacity planning
• Support for development, QA, UAT, and production environments

Replication & Data Movement

• Sybase Replication Server administration and monitoring
• Sybase-to-Sybase and Sybase-to-SQL Server replication environments
• Real-time and near real-time data replication and synchronization
• Data migration, ETL support, and heterogeneous database integration
• Replication troubleshooting, performance tuning, and capacity planning
• SymmetricDS experience is a plus

High Availability & Disaster Recovery (HA/DR)

• Sybase ASE High Availability solutions and Cluster Edition environments
• Warm standby, failover, and disaster recovery administration
• RTO/RPO planning, testing, validation, and business continuity support
• Cross-site replication and geographically distributed database environments

Performance Tuning & Optimization

• ASE performance tuning and workload optimization
• Query tuning, execution plan analysis, and index optimization
• Statistics management, locking, blocking, and deadlock resolution
• Memory, cache, I/O, and tempdb optimization
• OLTP database performance analysis and capacity planning

Database Security & Compliance

• Authentication, authorization, access control, and RBAC administration
• Encryption, auditing, and security monitoring
• Vulnerability remediation and security patch management
• SOX compliance support and audit readiness

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Proactive monitoring, health checks, and incident management
• Availability, performance, and capacity monitoring
• Root cause analysis and issue resolution
• Enterprise monitoring tools and operational support

Backup, Recovery & Data Protection

• Backup and recovery strategy design and implementation
• Sybase Backup Server administration
• Full, differential, and transaction log backups
• Recovery testing, point-in-time recovery, and data retention management
• Business continuity and data protection initiatives

Automation & Scripting

• Shell scripting (Linux) and DBA process automation
• Automated monitoring, alerting, health checks, and reporting
• Environment provisioning, deployment automation, and job scheduling
• Development of reusable DBA utility scripts

Development & Database Engineering Support

• Database design reviews and schema optimization
• Stored procedures, triggers, views, and SQL performance reviews
• Application release support and change management
• Data modeling, normalization, and CI/CD database deployment support

Infrastructure & Operating Systems

• Strong Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration experience
• Storage, SAN, NAS, networking, and virtualization (VMware)
• OS performance analysis and infrastructure troubleshooting
• Exposure to cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience working in enterprise ITIL environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with application, server, network and other teams during outages and scheduled change request work;
• Follow change management and release processes;
• Participate in 24x7 support and on-call rotations for critical production systems;
• Troubleshoot database incidents and perform root cause analysis;
• Work with vendors and internal teams to resolve complex issues;
• Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and operational documentation;
• Automate routine DBA tasks using shell scripting and AI where applicable;
• Perform proactive monitoring for events and alerts;
• Manage all SOX compliance configurations, access control reviews, reporting, and compliance task completion;
• Stay current on all required internal company training;
• Safeguard digital assets by consistently practicing and promoting safe cyber awareness.
