THE POSITION
Reporting to the Senior Volunteer Manager – FIFA27, the Volunteer System Manager will play a key role in shaping and managing the volunteer journey through the FIFA Volunteer Platform, supporting operations across eight Host Cities within the Integrated Model.
The purpose of this role is to lead the set‑up, operation, and maintenance of the FIFA Volunteer Platform, which serves as the foundation for the entire volunteer experience. The successful candidate will also oversee essential system integrations to ensure a seamless, efficient, and high‑quality operational process for the tournament. This role will work in close collaboration with the Volunteer Management Teams at FIFA Zurich, FIFA27, Host Cities in Brazil and the FIFA Volunteer Platform provider, as well as with other Functional Areas, to ensure the technology platforms meet all operational requirements while supporting the successful delivery of the Volunteer Programme.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work on development of all system processes in the FIFA volunteer platform, from application through to tournament‑time management, including test events and satellite events
- Participate in the planning phase to finalise configuration of the FIFA Volunteer Platform ensuring it fully supports the requirements of the Integrated Model for a consistent volunteer experience and operational processes across all Host Cities.
- Support the review and refine system functionalities to meet the evolving needs of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™.
- Ensure operational readiness to test and finalise the application form for the Volunteer Programme launch.
- Ensure integration with other FIFA and local systems, managing all dependencies.
- Act as the volunteer department’s main point of contact for User Access, User Validation, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and system simulations.
- Identify and propose technical solutions to operational challenges not addressed by existing functionality.
- Ensure data integrity, compliance, and security across all volunteer systems in‑line with FIFA’s data protection standards.
- Act as the first point of escalation and resolution for volunteer system issues.
- Promote best practices in data management, analytics, and system governance.
- Lead the creation of data reports, dashboards, and analytical tools for operational insights and decision‑making.
- Monitor and report on project timelines, change requests, and system risks in line with the integrated volunteer systems plan.
- Establish clear reporting and monitoring processes to evaluate programme effectiveness, volunteer satisfaction, and service delivery.
- Lead the preparation and delivery of training materials and conduct “Train‑the‑Trainer” sessions for system users.
- Ensure compliance to the FIFA tournament guidelines and oversee project execution in alignment with the approved budget, identifying efficiencies and cost‑effective delivery methods.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of an International Volunteer Welcome Strategy, including logistics, visa facilitation, and cultural integration.
- Ensure a structured systems close‑out process, including comprehensive handover and debrief report.
- Represent the Volunteer team in cross‑functional area meetings, host city briefings, readiness workshops, stakeholder engagements, and strategic planning.
YOUR PROFILE
- Minimum 5 years of experience in large‑scale volunteer, workforce, or sport event programme management.
- Education: Master’s in Sports Management or Event Management or Technology, Information Systems, or Project Management preferred.
- Proven experience managing large‑scale technology or systems implementation projects.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, including proficiency with data visualisation and business intelligence tools.
- High cultural awareness with experience in multi‑stakeholder and multicultural environments.
- Training delivery experience a plus
- Familiarity with volunteer management systems (Rosterfy) and related IT tools is highly desirable.
