This role includes an on-call rotation for critical support needs.

Our client is looking for an experienced VMware Engineer to join our infrastructure team, supporting large-scale virtualized environments and ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability across global data centers.
The ideal professional has strong hands-on experience with vSAN , VMware cluster management, upgrades, and networking at the hypervisor level.
Administer and support VMware ESXi and vCenter environments (versions 7 and 8; migration to 9 planned).
Manage VMware clusters, VMware Distributed Switches (VDS), and ESXi host configurations.
Perform vCenter and ESXi upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
Ensure optimal configuration, performance, and availability of virtual infrastructure.
Manage and support VMware vSAN environments (minimum 2 years of hands-on experience).
Monitor vSAN health, performance, and storage capacity.
Troubleshoot vSAN-related storage, performance, and node issues.
Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, trunks, port groups, and VM networking issues.
Understand network configuration at the hypervisor level and how to troubleshoot VM connectivity.
Integrate and manage Active Directory within vCenter environments.
Strong experience with VMware vSAN (must-have).
5+ years of experience administering VMware environments (versions 7 and 8).
Hands-on expertise in :
Basic knowledge of Active Directory integration in vCenter.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in complex virtualized environments.
Experience supporting large enterprise VMware environments.
Familiarity with automation or scripting tools (PowerCLI, Python).
Knowledge of backup / restore strategies in virtual infrastructures.
Remote role aligned to EST business hours (8 : 30 AM–5 : 30 PM) .
Includes on-call rotation for critical support needs.
