Role Summary

Responsible for carrying out vehicle dynamics advanced simulation activities to support attributes development programs.

Responsibilities

• Build chassis and complete vehicle models
• Perform virtual simulations to evaluate suspension kinematics & compliance and complete vehicle handling & ride comfort
• Optimise chassis parameters in order to meet performance targets
• Prepare/write project reports
• Presentation of project results and support decision making
• Client communication and reporting

Technical qualifications

• B.S. or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 1-3 years of experience in automotive chassis development with a focus on Vehicle Dynamics
• Knowledge of vehicle dynamics theory and contributions from individual components (hardpoints, steering, springs, bars, dampers, tires, bushings, etc.) to suspension K&C and full-vehicle performance
• Basic understanding of the performance development process, from target setting and target cascading to validation and sign-off
• Vehicle dynamics simulation experience with multi-body (ADAMS) and/or lookup tables-based models (VI-CarRealTime, IPG Carmaker, CarSim, etc)
• Data post-processing skills
