NDT Global is seeking a hands-on Tooling Technician to support the operation, maintenance, assembly, testing, and deployment of subsea inspection and robotic tooling systems. You will work in both the workshop and offshore campaigns, ensuring equipment is prepared, tested, and ready for inspection worldwide.

The role emphasizes practical engineering work, learning subsea inspection technologies, NDT, and offshore operations, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualificações

  • Must have a technical, industrial, engineering, or science-based qualification (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Professional level of English communication skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an offshore operations team.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsabilidades

  • Assemble, test, maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair subsea robotic tooling and NDT systems.
  • Support operational readiness of technologies including NodeScanner, MagCrawler, ARTEMIS, and other inspection tools.
  • Assist with integration of subsea inspection tooling to ROV systems.
  • Conduct basic fault finding and repairs on NDT and robotic equipment.
  • Assemble prototype tooling from engineering drawings and report issues or improvements.
  • Support equipment packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory management activities.
  • Maintain equipment traceability records, packing lists, and spare parts usage logs.
  • Participate in offshore campaigns, including pre-job preparation, execution, and post-job reporting.
  • Carry out basic fabrication activities under supervision.
  • Work in accordance with Company HSE, Quality, and Integrated Management Systems.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and environmentally responsible practices.

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on and motivated Tooling Technician to support the operation, maintenance, assembly, testing, and deployment of advanced subsea inspection and robotic tooling systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a technical background who enjoys practical engineering work and wants to develop expertise in subsea inspection technologies, non-destructive testing (NDT), robotics, and offshore operations. The successful candidate will work both in the workshop and offshore, ensuring equipment is prepared, tested, maintained, and ready for inspection campaigns worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble, test, maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair subsea robotic tooling and NDT systems.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • Technical, industrial, engineering, or science-based qualification (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Professional level of English communication skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an offshore operations team.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable

  • Experience assembling and disassembling mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, and equipment logistics.
  • Experience with workshop equipment such as drill presses, hydraulic benders, lathes, milling machines, or welding equipment.
  • Knowledge of CAD or 3D software packages.
  • Exposure to offshore, subsea, ROV, NDT, or inspection activities.
