Job summary

Capgemini Engineering seeks a Test Automation Engineer to design, develop and run automated tests for web and enterprise applications. You will create scripts in Python and/or Robot Framework and validate APIs using SoapUI/ReadyAPI or Postman, while performing DB testing and data validation.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software lifecycle, and contribute to AI-based testing practices and tools adoption, with a hybrid work setup and

• Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux environments.
• Experience with Python and/or Robot Framework for test automation.
• Knowledge of SoapUI/ReadyAPI and/or Postman for API testing.
• Experience with Database testing and SQL queries.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scenarios for web and enterprise applications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Create and maintain automated test scripts using Python and/or Robot Framework.
• Execute and validate API tests using SoapUI/ReadyAPI and/or Postman.
• Perform database testing, data validation, and troubleshoot data-related issues.
• Collaborate with development, business, and product teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
• Support AI-based testing practices and tools adoption.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and provide detailed reporting.
